| HELP SUPPORT THE CHORUS | ||||||||||||||||||||
| The Chorus needs to raise money every year to support its many operational expenses: | ||||||||||||||||||||
| - salaries for music director and accompanist - purchase of music for 50 singers - rental of storage space for music and other items - hiring of soloists and instrumentalists for concerts - printing, advertising, etc. |
||||||||||||||||||||
| Member dues and ticket sales cover a little more than half of these expenses. Our various fundraising programs make up the difference and allow us to be a more dynamic organization. | ||||||||||||||||||||
| On-Going Fundraisers The following programs provide money on an annual basis for the Chorus to meet its operational budget: |
||||||||||||||||||||
| Gift Cards: Buy gift cards for many of your favorite national retailers and help generate cash for the Chorus at the same time. You pay the normal retail price, but the Chorus gets a small percentage of each sale. Don't think of these just as gifts. They can be used just as you would use cash whenever you shop. I keep cards for Starbucks and Albertsons in my car, so they're handy whenever I stop. Of course, cards also do make great gifts. See our list of participating merchants. | ||||||||||||||||||||
| Shop On-Line: Do
you use the internet for shopping, purchasing plane tickets, etc?
Many of your favorite on-line merchants support non profit
organizations. You can generate funds for the Chorus while doing
your normal shopping by going first to www.igive.com,
designate the Chorus as your chosen charity, then click through to your
retailer's web page. If you normally book your vacations through
Expedia or Orbitz, just sign on through IGive first and the Chorus will
benefit. Better yet, buy a gift card first, then shop at the
retailer's website. |
